Overview

Throughout the site, the terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to Maison Valyn, a brand operated by Almanza LLC, registered in Wyoming, USA (30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801).

These Terms and Conditions apply exclusively between Maison Valyn and any person making a purchase on the site who is resident in the United Kingdom. By using our Services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Section 1 – Access and Account

By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your country of residence. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. All information provided must be accurate to ensure successful delivery.

Section 2 – Products and Consumer Rights

As a UK consumer, you are protected by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which requires that goods are:

  • As described:  matching any description given to you.

  • Of satisfactory quality:  meeting the standard a reasonable person would expect.

  • Fit for purpose:  fit for the specific purpose for which they were supplied.

If a product is faulty, you are entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund. Where a fault appears within 30 days of delivery you may reject the item and receive a full refund. Section 3 of our Refund Policy sets out how to do so.

Section 3 – Orders and Payment

  • 3.1 Contract Formation:  the contract is formed once you have reviewed your basket, confirmed the total price and completed the checkout process. A confirmation email is sent to you immediately.

  • 3.2 Payment Methods:  we accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal.

  • 3.3 Payment Timing:  your chosen payment method is charged at the moment the transaction is validated at checkout.

Section 4 – Right to Cancel and Returns

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have a statutory right to cancel a distance purchase. Maison Valyn extends that right beyond the legal minimum. The following applies:

  • 4.1 Statutory cancellation period:  you have 14 days from the day you receive your goods to notify us that you wish to cancel, at info@maisonvalyn.com. You do not need to give a reason.

  • 4.2 Our extended window:  we accept returns for a refund for 30 days from delivery, for any reason, including a change of mind. Where this is longer than the statutory period, our 30-day window is the one that applies.

  • 4.3 Returning the goods:  once you have notified us, you have a further 14 days to send the items back, and in any event within the 30-day window at 4.2.

  • 4.4 Refunds:  we refund the price of the goods plus the standard delivery charge within 10 days of receiving the return at our warehouse, to your original payment method.

  • 4.5 Return shipping:  unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, the cost of return shipping is yours.

Our Refund Policy sets out the full procedure, the return address and the condition requirements. Where these Terms and the Refund Policy differ on returns, the Refund Policy applies.

Section 5 – Pricing, Taxes and Duties

All prices are displayed in British Pounds (£).

  • Prices displayed include any applicable UK VAT.

  • DDP (Delivered Duty Paid):  Maison Valyn operates on a DDP basis. All customs duties and import taxes are covered by us. No additional fees will be requested from you on delivery within the UK.

Section 6 – Shipping and Delivery

Delivery dates are estimates. Under UK law, if a product is not delivered within 30 days of the order date, unless a different period was agreed, you have the right to cancel the order for a full refund. Risk of loss or damage passes to you once you, or a person identified by you, take physical possession of the goods. Our Shipping Policy sets out handling times, transit times and carriers.

Section 7 – Limitation of Liability

Maison Valyn shall not be liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Section 8 – Disputes and Governing Law

Any issue may be raised first with us at info@maisonvalyn.com.

  • Governing Law:  these conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. This does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory consumer protection laws of the United Kingdom.

  • Jurisdiction:  any dispute may be brought before the competent courts of the United Kingdom.
